Needle Felting

This dry felting method offers an experience in transforming many colors of wool roving into fanciful forms. It can be addicting! We'll use the complex designs of real flowers for our inspiration and see where it takes us. Further adorned with beads, the result will the a sturdy, three dimensional, one-of-a-kind pin to either wear proudly or give as a gift. Polymer Clay

Class ID: 1164 - Bead Basics Teacher: Lynne Bergschultz Class Level: Beginner (no experience) Class Type: Half Day Class Date: Friday August 1st Class Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Class Location: 9 Ever wish you had just the right bead or beads for a project? Polymer clay is the ideal medium to produce the ideal color, size and shape. And, it's great fun to play with the clay! You will be introduced to basic bead forming methods and variety of surface techniques. The results will be a great sampler collection of beads that we will assemble into bracelets. If you have a particular project, accessory or fiber with which you would like to coordinate please bring it with you. Students Will Learn: basic properties of polymer clay how to form round, tube and conical (lentil) beads simple caning marbling a little color theory Class Prerequisites(Students should know): No experience required Materials Fee: $8.00    *Material fees are separate from class fees and paid to the instructor the day of the class. Class ID: 1191 - Pretty in Polymer Teacher: Lynne Bergschultz Class Level: Beginner (no experience) Class Type: Half Day Class Date: Saturday August 2nd Class Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Class Location: 9 Color mixing was never easier or more fascinating. We'll focus on using the "Skinner Blend" method of mixing polymer clay. This clever technique results in a beautiful range of hues which will then be cut and cured. Finally, the shapes will be assembled into a light-weight and lovely necklace using a simple using lacing pattern. This is a great way to practice the "Skinner Blend" and take home a finished piece of jewelry! Students Will Learn: basic polymer clay properties the Skinner Blend of color mixing basic color theory cutting polymer sheets into washer shapes lacing the pieces together Class Prerequisites(Students should know): No experience required Materials Fee: $8.00    *Material fees are separate from class fees and paid to the instructor the day of the class.
