In five short years the Midwest Fiber & Folk Art Fair has experienced phenomenal success, attracting over 21,000 people from 47 states and 4 countries to shop, learn, and celebrate the fiber and folk arts and the work of THIER hands.

Why? According to a study reported in the Wall Street Journal, the fiber arts are experiencing a worldwide Renaissance, and 53 Million Americans are now knitting. But we don’t stop there, unlike other events, we don’t specialize in one fiber art, but celebrate all fiber arts, thereby extending our audience and appeal.

Demographics: The Fair is located midway between Chicago and Milwaukee, and close to Madison, WI. The population base for this local area is 10,000,000+.

Our elist is at 5,500 and growing. We send enews to the master list 1-2 times a month until about April. Then we send them out 3+ times a month, depending upon deadlines and announcements. Do It In Public emails go out twice a month until the first of June. We then take a break until after the Fair.

Our web site is currently at 325,000 hits for 2011 and still counting.

Last year we advertised in eleven national publications, and 5 newspapers in IL/WI. We ran radio ads on a local public radio station and had numerous editorials in several local papers including Triblocal, Daily Herald and several Pioneer Press publications, as well as a two page spread in Lake County Magazine for the Arts. There were also many listings in local calendar sources with an accompanying article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel calendar listing.

Sponsorship of the Midwest Fiber & Folk Art Fair provides an excellent source for increasing your competitive edge and enhancing your company’s image, prestige, and credibility to literally thousands of the Fair’s loyal target market of fiber arts enthusiasts.
