The Fiber & Textile Arts Award is a one-year scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year. Made possible by a generous donation from Toni Neil (The Fold), two students will be awarded $2000 each to be used for tuition and fees. Announcement will be made at the Midwest Fiber & Folk Art Fair, July 16-18, 2010. Download a poster to put up at your shop or school.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Currently enrolled and seeking a fiber arts, textile, or fiber-related undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Enrolled in school on at least a half-time basis.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:

  • Selections will be based on artistic merit.
  • Financial need will be taken into account.
  • Preference may be given to individuals pursuing a degree later in life.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recipients are required to make one of their artworks available for display at the 2010 Midwest Fiber & Folk Art Fair.
  • An Application, an Essay, and images of student work are required to apply.
