ILR Sanctioned Llama Show - & Animals at the Fair!

join us for our ILR Sanctioned Llama Show at the Fair! Register for the ILR- SD Youth and Halter classes either: 1) Online at the ILR Entry Page; or 2) Print and mail in the forms below.

performance classes: We also offer performance classes that are ‘open’ and JUST for FUN! See forms below.

and... We are inviting ALL the other furry, feathered and fibered creatures to join us. Display your alpacas, sheep, goats, rabbits or fowl and market your homemade products and sustainable lifestyle! The Exhibit Only Application is available below for those NOT entered in the llama show. We will be together yet separated in the barns.

llamas 101: We will have a one-hour presentation Friday afternoon to educate the public and offer hands on opportunities for the community. We will cover basic care, youth and llamas in the 4-H program, use of llama fleece and much more! We invite everyone to come and see what all the EXCITEMENT IS ABOUT!

three bags full (shorn) fleece competition: Meanwhile, one of the largest Llama/Alpaca Shorn Fleece Competitions in the country will be ongoing in the Expo Center. Llama and Alpaca fleeces from the 2013 fleece harvest may enter. Three Bags Full (Shorn) Fleece Competition is non ILR, however, premiums are paid to 3rd place and Grand and Reserve cash awards are given in the Llama and Alpaca divisions! Online entry is coming soon for the Three Bags Full Fleece Competition right here on this site. Stay tuned...(we are working the final bugs out)

awards: Ribbons to 4th place for each class and Grand & Reserve Champion will be presented for both ILR and Open Show. Nice cash awards are given for the Three Bags Full Shorn Fleece Competition & Sale- see Fleece Competition page for details.
