ANNOUNCEMENT: Betty Flamm of Palatine has graciously stepped up to be our Volunteer Coordinator! She is the new president of the Palatine/Inverness Arts Council, has worked for many years on her college’s Starving Artists Show and has plenty of PTA committee experiences.

Betty and I have been working together to make a list of the pre-fair work that needs to get done. We are ready to issue our first call for help!

If you are able to help, our first 2008 Fair meeting is Wednesday, January 30, at McHenry County College, 8900 US Hwy 14, Crystal Lake, in the Cafeteria at 7:30pm.

Directions to MCC can be found at: http://www.mchenry.edu/maps/MapToMCC.asp and a map of the campus can be found at: http://www.mchenry.edu/maps/ , the cafeteria is by the Main Entrance to the college in Building B. You will want to park in Lot B.

Some things we need help with before the fair:

• Coordinating demonstrations with guilds
• Keeping lists of vendors
• Keeping lists of workshops
• Mailings

At the fair we will need:

• Help with set up and take down
• Help in the Information Booth
• Help with the Silent Auctions
• Help in the Fair Wear Booth
• Workshop Sign In
• Admissions
• And just about everywhere else!
