Dyeing

Class ID: 1188 - Painted Skeins.....Wonderful Colors Teacher: Carol Wagner Class Level: Beginner (no experience) Class Type: Half Day Class Date: Sunday August 3rd Class Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Class Location: 4 Using a microwave and simple dyes a quick and easy technique to dye skeins will be taught. There will be a discussion of the different types of dyes. Students Will Learn: to dye skeins using a microwave and simple dyes. several other techniques will be discussed and demonstrated. Students will become familiar with different brands of dyes and how to use them. Class Prerequisites(Students should know): no experience needed Materials Fee: $20.00    *Material fees are separate from class fees and paid to the instructor the day of the class. Class ID: 1173 - Drumcarding.....The Basics and Beyond Teacher: Carol Wagner Class Level: Beginner (no experience) Class Type: Half Day Class Date: Friday August 1st Class Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Class Location: 4 The basic techniques for using a drumcarder will be reviewed. Blending fibers and colors will be explored. There will be many dyed colors and a variety of fibers available for experimentation. Art batts will be discussed and the several methods to create will be taught. Students Will Learn: Students will know how to use a drumcarder, will know how to blend fibers and will experiment with a variety of fibers. Homework: none Class Prerequisites(Students should know): no experience required Materials Fee: $20.00    *Material fees are separate from class fees and paid to the instructor the day of the class.
