Weaving: Continuous Strand

Class ID: 1200 - Weave a Dishcloth Teacher: Jane Grogan Class Level: Beginner (no experience) Class Type: Class Date: Saturday August 2nd Class Time: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Class Location: A Students will learn to weave a cotton dishcloth using a simple over/under technique of continuous strand weaving. The class focuses on the dishcloth as a project but the loom can be used with other fibers for other projects. Students Will Learn: To weave on a frame loom using the continuous strand technique. Homework: None Class Prerequisites(Students should know): No experience requird Materials Fee: $38.00    *Material fees are separate from class fees and paid to the instructor the day of the class. Class ID: 1201 - Weave a Rectangle Teacher: Jane Grogan Class Level: Beginner (no experience) Class Type: Class Date: Sunday August 3rd Class Time: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Class Location: A Discover the fun in weaving a small 3"x7" rectangle and then assembling the pieces to form squares and larger pieces. Students Will Learn: to weave continuous strand style to form a rectangle that can pieced for small objects such as trivets or placemats or larger pieces such as shawls and blankets. Homework: None Class Prerequisites(Students should know): No experience required. Materials Fee: $27.00    *Material fees are separate from class fees and paid to the instructor the day of the class. Class ID: 1202 - Weave a Sweet Heart Teacher: Jane Grogan Class Level: Beginner (no experience) Class Type: Class Date: Friday August 1st Class Time: 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM Class Location: A Hearts woven on a sweet little loom are irresistible. The hearts take less than four yards of yarn and the weaving requires only a needle and a few minutes. Students Will Learn: to weave a heart using a simple over and under technique. Class will include ideas to design projects using the 3" hearts. Homework: None Class Prerequisites(Students should know): No experience required.
