Established knitters may enjoy this different method, new knitters can mistress this right away! Students Will Learn: the architecture and grammar of ALL knitting stitches, and how to read their knitting, create happy stitches and find a more intuitive way to create knit fabric. Don’t be afraid, be bold and confident as you take up your needles - enjoy the full range of colored yarns that are all around you! Students Will Learn: an exciting new technique to create a relatively pain-free plaid, this opening up endless opportunities to use your stash! By using 4 colors of yarn and a slip stitch technique, we will create a simple plaid fabric. Class ID: 1199 - Universal Mitered Bag / Modular Knitting Teacher: Annie Modesitt Class Level: Advanced Beginner (limited exp Class Type: Half Day Class Date: Sunday August 3rd Class Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Class Location: 6 We’ll cover the basics of Mitered - or Domino - Knitting, learn ways to visualize mitered patterns through charts, and begin The Universal Mitered Bag, which can be completed at the knitters own pace after the class. Students Will Learn: how to create a mitered diamond including a great centered decrease and tips for picking up stitches along the edge of garter fabric. Class Prerequisites(Students should know): Students should know how to knit, purl, and basic decreasing (K2tog) Materials Fee Includes: N/A Students Should Bring: at least 2 different colors of worsted or sport weight yarn (variegated is fine), circular needles of any length to work well with your chosen yarn.
